When you hear about next Windows operating system, one of the first things you might want to know is the hardware requirements. Microsoft is quite famous to introduce new operating system which will be compatible with new high power processor introduce by Intel. People call this combination ‘WinTel’. This is one of the reasons why people did not upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista. However, it seems like Microsoft learn the lesson and changed it strategy.
Microsoft’s Tami Reller, corporate vice president and chief financial officer of Windows and Windows Live confirmed that Windows 8 will have the same hardware requirement as Windows 7. That means Windows 8 will run on most of the desktops and laptops that run Windows 7.
